- What is Todos?
Todos is a Dutch organization that promotes youth leadership through the use of sports and art, giving youth in slums the chance to develop themselves. Todos believes in the talent of young people and the exchange of knowledge, experience, and skills.
- Who is Todos?
Todos has three employees: Hanneke Velthuijsen,director, Wendy Kweens, communications and fundraising, Arianne Niks, coordinator, plus project members, interns and volunteers are enthusiasically committed to the implementation of projects.

- What does Todos do?
Todos encourages Dutch youth to be Global Citizens: actively engaged across borders. Todos gives them insight into the lives of their peers in slums and teaches them the power of sport and art for a better future. Todos's fundraising in the Netherlands supports youth leadership worldwide and the exchange of knowledge and experience.
- Where is Todos involved?
Todos has projects in the Netherlands and is currently working with partners in Brazil and Guatemala.
- How do Todos projects work?
Our projects follow the method 'learning - experience - act', a methodology developed by Onno Raadsen. His main premise is that "young people must do it themselves".
- Why sport and art?
Movement, both sports and creative, is good for your health, for pleasure, and distraction. Sport and art contributes to your social, emotional, creative, communicative, and cognitive development. They show the similarities and differences between you and the others. Also they give you an identity and a sens of self. Todos believes in the power of sport and art because everyone is different and everyone has different talents. Todos feels that it's important one can develop and express a form of exercise of their choice.
- Why using alternative materias and (reusable) waste?
Todos is known for their mirror method and use of (reusable)waste. We adress social issues like poverty, education and health in an interactive manner. In recent years, Todos has proven that the use of alternative materials is a powerful tool to achieve Dutch youth. It stimulates their imagination, creativity and lets think about their own (consumer) behavior.
- When was Todos founded?
In 1999, Onno Raadsen founded the Tio Loiro Foundation and in 2006 it was renamed Todos: Toekomst Door Sport. In 2011, it was decided to replace the tagline 'Toekomst Door Sport' by 'Move2Change'. Todos chose a tagline which can be read internationally and which is in line with the new policy: Youth leadership through Sport & Art. Projects and results
- What projects does Todos have in the Netherlands?
Todos currently has two projects in the Netherlands: Cradle2Play and Urban, Arts & Life.
- What projects does Todos supports overseas?
Todos works with two partners: ARCA, a sports development organization in Brazil, and the Consortium, an alliance of local youth organizations in Guatemala. Todos supports multiple projects of both partners.
- Why supports Todos project for youth in slums?
Slum neighborhoods have high unemployment, poor education, crime, drugs, gun violence and child abuse. Young people growing up in these areas have little chances, are negatively affected, and thus make bad choices. Todos believes that all young people have the right to fully develop to their own potential. Todos believes in the talents of youth and the power of doing it yourself. This leads to a positive change in young people and their environment.
- What is youth leadership through sport and art?
Young people are encouraged and supported to take initiative and responsibility. They use their knowledge and skills in a positive way in the field of sports and art, both for themselves and their environment.
Financing and fundraising
- How does Todos raise money?
Todos is supported by individuals, schools and businesses. Besides donations and sponsorhips, Todos receives funding from NCDO and E-motive (Oxfam Novib) to carry out its projects in the Netherlands.

- How is the money distributed?
Todos works with a distribution key: 80% for projects in Brazil and Guatemala, 20% for Todos, which is used for office expenses, personnel, communication and marketing.

- What are the conditions for organizing an activity or event?
Todos has four guidelines:
1. It's your action! You, your school, business or club organizes the activity or event.
Communicate clearly that you organize it for Todos.
2. Let us know! We would like to see all your activities on our website.
Please send a short text, pictures and movies.
3. Be creative! Make posters, flyers, stickers, gadgets and widgets. Use the Todos logo.
If you need a different format, do not alter it on your own. Pleas email us.
4. Ask for sponor money! Be transparent. The money you collect goes to the projects in Brazil and Guatemala (80%) and to Todos (20%).
- Can I get promotional material?
Todos is based on using your own talents and creativity. We believe in the power of 'you'. We are convinced that if you promote your activity or event with your own style and identity, this is an addes value for yourself, your surroundings, and Todos. Use the Todos logo.
- What do I do with sponsorship money?
You can deposit the money you collect to ING 50.26.625 in name of Todos Foundation. Include your name, your activity and the number you get when you send us your activity.
